Scrum-half Maxime Machenaud suffered a hand injury on the weekend and could be a doubt for France’s November internationals, club coach Laurent Travers said Tuesday.

Machenaud sustained the blow in Racing-Metro’s 13-9 victory over Clermont on Sunday, and will definitely miss Racing’s trip to Llanelli to play the Scarlets in the European Cup on Saturday, according to Travers.

The 24-year-old Machenaud, capped 11 times, was named in France’s October 28-30 training squad, but risks missing Tests against New Zealand on November 9, Tonga (16) and South Africa (23).
