Keep the Brumbies in Super Rugby: Hooper

NSW Waratahs captain and former Brumby Michael Hooper says his old club is a strong one and that neither it or any of the other Australian Super Rugby teams should be cut.

A decision on the composition of the 2018 competition is expected soon, with reports already circulating it will be cut to 16 teams next year, with one Australian and one South African franchise being sacrificed.

‘I’m not sure what’s going to happen, but the Brumbies is a strong club and one that you’d like to see continue in the comp,'” said Hooper, who will play against the Brumbies in his 100th Super game this weekend.
