The Highlanders are still a better side than many expected them to be, their 20 point loss to the Crusaders notwithstanding, they have shown they will be a tough out for most sides in this competition.

They even managed to lead the all-conquering Crusaders 17-14 at halftime only to have the score blow out in the final four minutes.

Conversely the Hurricanes managed to capitalise on their fast start against the Chiefs and hold on for a seven point win but this has all the makings of a much tighter match than the market indicates.
