Hooker Latu re-signs with Waratahs

NSW Waratahs hooker Tolu Latu has re-signed with the Super Rugby club for the next three seasons.

With first-choice rake Tatafu Polota-Nau spending plenty of time on the sidelines over the past two seasons with injury and concussion, the 22-year-old Latu has racked up 28 appearances for the 2014 champions.

On Friday, it was announced he would remain with the Tahs until the end of 2018.

“I’m really happy to be able to stay here with the Waratahs, it’s an exciting time to be at the club,” Latu said.

“It will be great to play under Daryl (Gibson) as head coach, and I’m really looking forward to working with him and (forwards coach) Cam Blades in the coming seasons.”
