Wales centre Gavin Henson has been fired by club side Cardiff Blues over an alcohol-fuelled incident on a plane as the team returned from a Celtic League match in Scotland.
The Blues say the 30-year-old Henson acknowledged that his behaviour was unacceptable “and the immediate termination of his contract sends out a clear message that behaviour like that will not be tolerated”.
Henson was suspended by Toulon last year following an altercation with two teammates in a nightclub.
Henson made the last of his 33 Test appearances in August in a 19-9 win over England.
He hurt his wrist in that match, ruling him out of the Rugby World Cup.
