Wallabies halfback Will Genia looks like he’s about to perform a huge backflip and remain with the Queensland Reds.

Two days after the Queensland Rugby Union announced Genia was set to join the Western Force in 2013, the Reds vice-captain will hold a media conference with coach Ewen McKenzie at 1100 (AEST) on Monday morning at the QRU’s Ballymore offices.

Negotiations between Genia and the Reds were dramatically reopened on Sunday afternoon after it was reported the Force had lured him west with a $600,000-per-season deal.

While the QRU announced on Saturday night they could not match the Force’s offer and would lose their two-time Pilecki Medallist, Genia himself said he was still undecided.
