The inaugural Sydney Sevens tournament has kicked off at Allianz Stadium with defending world series champions Fiji flexing their muscles against Samoa.
The Flying Fijians scored five tries in a 31-0 drubbing of their Pacific island rivals.
Australia starts its pool play against Portugal at 1.30pm (AEDT), and also play Canada and New Zealand on day one.
