Wallabies winger Drew Mitchell is confident he will be fit to face the All Blacks in Sydney on August 20 despite another slight fitness setback this week.
Mitchell, who hasn’t played a game since May for his French club Toulon, has been recovering from groin surgery and sat out training on Thursday after taking a knock to his achilles, but is expected to participate in Friday’s session.
“Each session has been progressively getting more intense and I feel good fitness-wise and I’m not getting any of that pain in the groin and hip,” Mitchell said on Friday.
