Halfback Andy Ellis, who is about to play his 100th match for the Crusaders, has re-signed to stay with New Zealand rugby for two more years.
Ellis, 29, will bring up his Super Rugby ton when he runs out against the Blues in Christchurch on Saturday night.
“I love playing rugby in New Zealand and I love playing for the Crusaders,” he said.
“It’s important to me to be in New Zealand while I am still playing my best rugby and I consider it a real privilege to go to work every day with my best mates.”
Ellis made his Super Rugby debut in 2006 against the Reds and has been part of two of the Crusaders’ title-winning campaigns.
He has also played 26 Tests for the All Blacks, the last one being the 2011 World Cup final victory over France.
