Both of these sides suffered first up defeats in Super Rugby Aotearoa and this an early contest between two sides who will probably be looking to avoid the wooden spoon.
The Highlanders ran the Crusaders close before fading away while the Chiefs suffered their ninth straight defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes.
Despite a long losing streak, the Chiefs have been installed as favourites for this one but that should be taken as encouragement to back the visitors here.
Of the last four meetings between these teams, three have been won by the Hurricanes and the fourth finished as a 31-31 tie.
