All Blacks five-eighth Dan Carter has been handed a new position in the Crusaders backline for their match against Super Rugby leaders the Stormers on Saturday.
Carter will hand his No.10 jersey to Tom Taylor and shift out one place to play at inside centre for the match at the new AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
The positional switch is in addition to the three personnel changes coach Todd Blackadder has made to the side beaten 32-30 by the Bulls in Pretoria last week.
Ryan Crotty shifts to the bench to make way for Carter’s move, while prop Ben Franks starts ahead of brother Owen and lock Tom Donnelly replaces Luke Romano.
Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Sean Maitland, Robbie Fruean, Dan Carter, Zac Guildford, Tom Taylor, Andy Ellis, Kieran Read (capt), Matt Todd, George Whitelock, Sam Whitelock, Tom Donnelly, Ben Franks, Corey Flynn, Wyatt Crockett. Res: Quentin MacDonald, Owen Franks, Luke Romano, Luke Whitelock, Willi Heinz, Ryan Crotty, Tom Marshall.
