Carter commits to Wallabies, Fardy on move

Australian rugby has received some mixed news with Scott Fardy announcing he will move to Ireland at the end of this season while his Wallabies and Brumbies teammate Sam Carter has re-signed for two years.

Fardy’s signing with European powerhouse Leinster comes after the 32-year-old 30-Test back-rower fell out of favour with Wallabies coach Michael Cheika last season.

Carter’s contract extension with the ARU until the end of 2019 is a big boost, with the 27-year-old lock highly regarded for his toughness and athleticism and is well poised to add to his 13 Test caps.
