Bulls run over Cheetahs 51-19 in Super RU

The Bulls remained unbeaten against the Cheetahs and in Super Rugby when they manhandled the host side 51-19 at Free State Stadium on Saturday.

The Bulls scored six tries, two of them after scrumhalf Francois Hougaard was sent off for a tip tackle, and flyhalf Morne Steyn became the third player and first South African to reach 1,000 points in the competition.

Steyn converted every try and added three penalties, missing just one shot at the posts from ten attempts.

The Cheetahs were game but outgunned by a side starting a dozen Springboks.

They conceded the bonus-point fourth try to the Bulls right on halftime and scored their only try when they were playing 14 men.
