Australia will play South Africa in the men’s Sydney 7s final after cruising past Argentina 28-0.
The hosts were untroubled in the semi-final, exploiting yellow cards to Argentina in both halves to book their second grand final appearance at the Sydney World Series leg in three years.
Captain Lewis Holland was in another damaging mood, crossing twice to bring his tournament tally to five, while Ben O’Donnell also crossed for a double.
Argentina were often rattled by the Australian defence, coughing the ball up in-goal and kicking away possession to allow the hosts a relatively pain-free path to the decider.
Earlier, South Africa booked their place with a 35-7 defeat of USA.
Australia is chasing its first World Series title since 2012, having finished fourth and second in the last two Sydney campaigns.
