ARU chief executive Bill Pulver has assured the Western Force that no decision has been made on their future, allaying fears the Perth-based Super Rugby franchise will definitely be axed.
Reports were rife on Monday that the Force would be the Australian team to be cut if SANZAAR reduces the competition to a 15-team format.
Pulver rang Force chief executive Mark Sinderberry to assure him the reports were false, saying the ARU are yet to decide on the matter.
