All Blacks coach says they can’t panic

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says the rugby union world champions can’t afford to panic after their loss to the Wallabies.

Little more than 12 hours after New Zealand’s 27-19 Rugby Championship defeat in Sydney, Hansen had already subjected himself to a number of replays of the game.

“I’ve had three or four looks and it doesn’t get any prettier,” Hansen said on Sunday.

“But there’s a lot of things we can improve on, the big thing we can’t do is panic.

“The breakdown is certainly an area (to improve upon). We’ve got to be honest with ourselves, in the last two games we’ve been tidied up there.”

He expected Australia will improve further for Saturday’s Bledisloe Cup match in Auckland.

Hansen said the only player whom may not be fit to train on Tuesday is centre Sonny Bill Williams, who took a knock to the buttock.
