2019 Rugby World Cup Final Odds and Betting Preview – England vs South Africa

Following their terrific 19-7 victory over New Zealand in last Saturday night’s semi-final, England has been sensationally backed from $1.65 to $1.45 at TAB to defeat South Africa in tomorrow night’s final of the 2019 Rugby World Cup at the Yokohama International Stadium in Japan.

New Zealand were overwhelming $1.85 favourites to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup before their shock semi-final exit while South Africa were $3.50 and England were $5.50.

South Africa accounted for Wales 19-16 in their semi-final last Sunday evening, but they have drifted from $2.30 to $2.75 with 94 percent of the punters support at TAB on England.

Yesterday, one bet of $10,000 at $1.47 was wagered on England while two different TAB customers placed $10,000 at $1.45 on the European nation.

England has won the Rugby World Cup on one occasion, which was in 2003 against host nation Australia 20-17 in extra-time at Sydney’s Stadium Australia.

Returning from apartheid, South Africa lifted the William Webb Ellis Cup in 1995 in their home country when they defeated New Zealand 15-12 in extra-time at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

South Africa were also successful in 2007 when they accounted for England 15-6 at the Stade de France in Paris.

One TAB punter will be hoping South Africa is victorious after placing a $2,500 wager at $6.50 on September 27 for a potential collect of $16,250.
