The odds are shortening that Wild Oats XI will win Sydney To Hobart line honours for a seventh occasion in 2013, with punters cutting the supermaxi’s odds of victory from $1.80 into $1.70 at Sportingbet.

As a result of a high-volume of bets for Wild Oats XI, its main rival Perpetual Loyal has eased from $2.40 to $2.75 at Sportingbet.

Beau Geste has been the best backed to beat the favourite, firming from $13 into $8, while Ragamuffin 100 has drifted from $6.50 to $8.

“We’ve written three times more bets for Wild Oats XI than any other contender while Perpetual Loyal has been friendless with punters in the past 48 hours,” Sportingbet spokesman Andrew Brown said.

Wild Oats XI is also a $1.90 favourite to be first through the heads.
