Sportingbet Australia punters have unleashed a number of significant bets on Wild Oats XI to claim her sixth line honours victory in the Sydney To Hobart. The super maxi has also been well supported into clear cut favouritism to be the first out of Sydney heads.

“We’ve taken two big bets of $10,000 on Wild Oats XI to claim line honours and she’s been backed from $1.35 into $1.28 after as much as $1.60 was available at the start of the month,” Sportingbet spokesman Andrew Brown said.

“She’s also a $1.40 favourite and the only one the punters want to be the first out of Sydney heads,” Brown said.

Ragamuffin-Loyal has been unwanted with punters and has drifted from $3.60 to $4.50 for line honours, while Wild Thing has eased slightly from $8.50 to $9.

Loki is a $4 favourite in front of Wild Oats XI at $8 to be the handicap winner. Southern Excellence has had some support at big odds and is $26 into $21 to be the handicap winner.
