Sportingbet Australia punters have reacted strongly to the weather forecast for the 2012 Sydney To Hobart by unleashing a number of significant bets on Wild Oats XI to claim her sixth line honours victory.
“Straight after the official forecast we took two $10,000 bets on Wild Oats XI and a significant amount of four figure bets,” Sportingbet spokesman Andrew Brown said.

“It’s been one way traffic for Wild Oats XI and she’s been backed from $1.35 into $1.28 after as much as $1.60 was available at the start of the month.”
Ragamuffin-Loyal has been unwanted with punters and has drifted from $3.60 to $4.50, while Wild Thing has eased slightly from $8.50 to $9.
Wild Oats XI is also a clear cut $1.40 favourite to be the first out of Sydney Heads in front of Ragamuffin-Loyal at $3.25 and Wild Thing at $9.
Loki is a $4 favourite in front of Wild Oats XI at $8 to be the handicap winner.
