SHOOTING

Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol – Gold
BET: Peeter Olesk – Gold at $18.00

The No.3 shooter in the world in this discipline, this price seems dangerously wrong. He won the recent World Cup, turning around a fairly average run of form. The favourite is certainly not at the top of his game.

ATHLETICS

Men’s 100m – Gold

BET: Akani Simbine at $7.50

Defending Olympic champion Travyon Bromwell is absolutely deserving of favouritism but South African Simbine running some slashing times this year including a 9.82 and a 9.84. He has been outstanding in 2021 and looks a big price.

Men’s High Jump – Gold

BET: Ilya Ivanyuk at $7.50

The neutral Russian athlete is the No.1 ranked high jumper in the world and is peaking at the right time. He posted a PB with the best jump of 2021 when he launched himself 2.37m. Only three jumpers have jumped more than 2.33m this year.

Women’s Shot Put – Gold

BET: Gong Lijiao at 1.20

Chinese shotputter Lijiao Gong is the best thrower in the world. She has the two longest throws this year as well as five of the Top 11. She won silver in London and bronze in Beijing and has won the last two world championships. She is short but she will be winning.

BASKETBALL

Line

BET:Canada $1.90

It is a little surprising Canada are outsiders here. The No.4 team in the world is led by WNBA talent Kia Nurse, Natalie Achonwa and Bridget Carleton. Canada lost a close game to Serbia while Spain won by 15 points but recency bias seems to be playing a big factor in this price.

Line

BET: South Korea at $1.83

The line in this one is a little disrespectful of South Korea. They pushed the No.3 team in the world Spain to four points in their opener and the Canada games was just 10 points at three-quarter time. Early money coming for South Korea.

WEIGHTLIFTING

Women’s 76kg – Gol

BET: Aremi Fuentes at $7.00

Mexican lifter Aremi Fuentes looks a good hope at a price. Mexican weightlifting has recently been rocked by a doping scandal but Fuentes appears to have been cleared. Her PB is competitive here.

Men’s 81kg – Gold

BET: Antonio Pizzolato at $SP.00

The men’s 81kg is a two-horse race. The Chinese lifter Lyu Xiaojun is the best in the world but there is not the difference between him and Antonio Pizzolato to justify this price gap. This year there is just a 3kg difference between top lifts.
