ROWING

BET: Germany – Men’s Lightweight Double at $5.00

Ireland are heavily favoured here and it is not hard to understand why. They are the world champions and have dominated the World Cup scene this year. Germany did medal at the World Champs though and posted an excellent time in the heats.

SWIMMING

Men’s 200m Individual Medley

BET: Michael Andrew (USA) at $2.00

American Michael Andrew has swum the two fastest 200 IM times this year and two of only three to break 1.56 in 2021. This is not an overly strong race and he has the most consistency across all strokes.

Women’s 200m Breaststroke – Medal

BET: Molly Renshaw (GBR) at $2.20

Brit Molly Renshaw has two of the top five times in the women’s 200m breaststroke this year and favourite Tatjana Schoenmaker has shown some vulnerability already when getting beaten in the 100m. Renshaw can win this but best value is to claim a medal.

Women’s 200m Backstroke – Medal

BET: Margherita Panziera (ITA) at $1.90

Kaylee McKeown is expected to dominate this event but there is value in finding the silver and bronze. Margherita Panziera has had two of the three best times this year not swum by McKeon. Looks excellent value.

BOXING

Men’s Super Heavyweight – Gold

BET: Bakhodir Jalalov (UZB) at $SP.00

We are getting into the main draw for the boxing now and it is time to get set on some gold medal plays. There is no better gold medal bet on the men’s side than Uzbekistan native New York resident Bakhodir Jalalov, who has already turned professional and is unbeaten in eight fights. The top four from this division in Rio are all out and Justis Huni withdrew. This is his for the taking.

Men’s Middleweight – Gold

BET: Gleb Bakshi (ROC) at $SP.00

The Russian is the reigning world champion. The favourite for this division didn’t take part in that tournament but when he last fought him it was a split decision in a high contest affair. He will have taken plenty from that. The World Championship was still a tough tournament. Looks value at the price.

FENCING

Women’s Team Foil

BET: Italy at $2.75

Russia picked up two of the three medals in the individual and are the No.1 ranked team in the world but Italy will be the smart play here. They have three of the top six in the individual ranking and this is the strength of Italian fencing.
