Kibiwot will be looking to continue the long and storied tradition of Kenya in the men’s 3000m steeplechase, a race they have claimed gold in at every Olympics they have participated in since Tokyo in 1964. Kibiwot has the second fastest time this year. You know the Kenyans will be peaking at the right time.

Men’s Hammer Throw – Gold

BET: Wojciech Nowicki (POL) at 6.00

The hammer throw looks a brilliant contest between the two elite Poles and rising American Rudy Winkler. Will be laying the American with a fair degree of confidence. The even money fave is Pawel Fajdek but Nowicki has beaten him in 10 of their last 16 meetings and did claim the bronze in Rio.

Women’s 200m – Gold

BET: Jenna Prandini (USA) at 51.00

The women’s 200m is a wide-open affair. Gabby Thomas is deserving of favouritism but is far too short. Shelly-Anne Fraser-Price has not won an Olympic gold over 200m. Looking wide and going with American Jenna Prandini at a big price. She has run the fourth fastest time over 200m in 2021.

DIVING

Men’s 3m Springboard – Gold

BET: Wang Zongyuan at $SP.00

Gold will come down to a battle between the Chinese pair. The outsider Wang Zongyuan looks the value. He beat his compatriot in the trials with ease. In a two-horse race this looks a fairly nice price.

WEIGHTLIFTING

Women’s 87kg – Gold

BET: Li Wenwen at $1.10

Add 14% to any multi you are having as Li Wenwen won’t be losing the over 87kg women’s lift. She is such a large price because of the boom around trans Kiwi lifter Laurel Hubbard. She is a champion who lifts nearly 40kg more than Hubbard.
