Jackson has firmed from $13 into $9.00 after a surge in interest for the three-time silver medalist overnight.

Natalie Cook remains favourite at $2.00, with Drew Ginn, who’s drifted from $2.50 out to $2.60, next in the market.

“There’s now been more bets for Leisel Jones to be the Australian team flag bearer than for Natalie Cook,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said. “At one stage yesterday, wagers were coming in 6 to 1 in favour of Jones.”

“Punter support for Cook has really cooled, with all of the interest over the last 48 hours coming for the other female candidates in the market.”
