Petr Yan is coming off a DQ loss to Aljamain Sterling in his last fight, landing an illegal knee that took away his belt.

Yan was arguably winning that fight before the fourth round DQ and before that, he had lost only once in his professional career.

The rematch is inevitable but Sterling withdrew from the fight sighting neck issues so in comes Cory Sandhagen.

Wins against Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar were followed with a razor thin split decision loss to T.J Dillashaw for Sandhagen back in July.

Petr Yan is a very well rounded fighter who mixes his phenomenal wrestling with vicious striking and leg kicking.

Both of these fighters are very durable and I see this one going the distance.
