Preview:
I believe that the Sydney Sixers overachieved last season and a return to the Big Bash finals does look unlikely. There is obviously some talent in this side, but the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and Steve Smith will be unavailable for the majority of the tournament. I’m not really sure where the majority of their runs are going to come from and James Vince will need to improve if they are going to be a realistic contender. Their bowling isn’t strong enough to overcome their poor batting and they are deserving of their status as extreme outsiders in Big Bash betting.
