Friday’s game would have been the Grizzlies’ second straight against the Timberwolves, after they won Wednesday’s matchup 118-107. Behind 90-80 after the third period, it marked the biggest three-quarter-time margin the Grizzlies have trailed by before going on to win the game since January 6, 2017. Jonas Valanciunas (24 points, 16 rebounds) was integral to that win and could receive some reinforcement with Ja Morant questionable to return from an eight-game absence. Meanwhile, Philly most recently defeated Miami 125-108 behind a season-high 31 points from Shake Milton. In a blow to the 76ers’ chances on Saturday, Joel Embiid will be sidelined.
