The Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers will do battle at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast tonight and it looms as an interesting battle between two teams that appear to be live title contenders.
The Stars have so far recorded two wins from as many matches. Clearly, it is extremely difficult to argue with winning form, but I’m not sure that their last match and win over the Hobart Hurricanes will prove to be a particularly good form reference, as I don’t think that side is particularly good.
The Strikers meanwhile are also undefeated, having had their first match of the campaign cancelled due to dangerous conditions, before comfortably defeating the Perth Scorchers in Adelaide on Monday. I think that they’ll take huge confidence from that result and they are over the odds to win again.
