We should be in for a real treat if this game turns out anything like last Saturday’s clash.
The Bullets and Hawks traded blows across all four quarters before the visitors finally pulled away to open with a six-point win up in Brisbane.
Obviously not much is expected from these two rebuilding sides, but there was still plenty to like about this new-look Hawks side under Brian Goorjian.
Perhaps the most encouraging sign was the fact the Hawks bench contributed massively with 39 points, while they also showed some great hustle scoring 20 points on the fast break.
Brisbane’s depth was always going to be an issue this year and it was painfully obvious in the late stages on Saturday.
This one could easily swing either way, but I’m happy to side with the Hawks based on what we saw last week.
