After an exciting start to the season these two teams are heading nowhere but south. Brisbane secured a narrow two-point home win over Adelaide last week before losing to Melbourne in blowout fashion two days later. The Bullets now find themselves sitting sixth on the ladder at 5-6 but they could move as high as fourth this weekend if results go their way.
Things weren’t quite so bad for South East Melbourne last week, but their four-point home loss to the Kings was a harsh reality check for the competitions newest franchise. A three-game losing streak has sunk the Phoenix to fourth on the ladder at 5-5.
Both teams have won only one of their last four games, so it’s no surprise to find plenty of value on offer in the head-to-head market.
Brisbane and the Phoenix met back in Round 3 in Melbourne, a game the Phoenix dominated 113-93. Considering the Bullets hold home-court advantage this time around though, you can expect things to be a little closer.
It goes without saying that the Bullets have been a much better team at home than they have been on the road this season. Straight-up, Brisbane is 3-1 at Nissan Arena this year, while they’ve also played to a 5-3 record as the home favourite over the last 12 months.
