Preview:
The 8-3 New England Patriots travel to Houston today to take on the 2-9 Texans.
This will be the third time the teams have met in the last year, with the Pats hanging 40-plus on the Texans in both. Things went downhill fast for Houston ever since losing to the Patriots in December of 2012.
They were 11-1 entering that game and have been 4-13 since.
Can they turn it around against the team that started their skid? Anything can happen when you have J.J. Watt. This will also be their first shot at the Pats in Houston since 2009—the game where New England’s playoffs hopes went down with Wes Welker’s torn ACL.
The Patriots are coming off an impressive win over the Denver Broncos, but they were horrible in the first half. If that team shows up in Houston, the Pats might dig themselves a hole that they can’t climb out of this time.
If the Patriots of the second half show up, it’s likely lights out for the Texans.
