Wighton happy to stay as Raiders’ No.7

Canberra’s Jack Wighton admits his move to halfback wasn’t a roaring success, but is happy to stick it out at No.7 if that’s what coach Ricky Stuart wants.

Wighton on Tuesday admitted he was a little shocked when Stuart shifted him from fullback into the halves as Sam Williams’ injury replacement for Saturday’s 21-20 loss to Cronulla.

“It was still pretty similar to the way I play fullback, except he needed me to do a little bit more organisation – but I don’t know if I did that,” said the 22-year-old.
