Preview:
The Tigers surprised their opponents in St. George last week, when snapping a six game losing streak with a 34 – 18 win.
It was a display that signalled some possible light at the end of long 2013 tunnel for the Tigers, especially with the debut of halfback Luke Brooks.
Unfortunately he will not be permitted to play in the final two rounds of this season due to salary cap conditions but he clearly breathed some life into what had previously been a very lacklustre outfit.
It will be interesting to see how they back up last week’s effort with the spark of the young Brooks missing.
Souths have bounced back to good form in the past fortnight registering wins over Manly and last week, Canterbury.
The return to form for the Bunnies coincides with the return of Inglis and Sutton and this week, the Rabbitohs will also welcome back Sam Burgess from a two week suspension.
With the Roosters going down to Cronulla on Monday night, Souths are contenders again for the minor premiership and both sides, Roosters and Souths, face off against each other in what will be a final round block-buster.
They’ll be too good for the Tigers as they were back in round 10 when defeating them 54 – 10.

All 4 Burgess boys in monster Souths team
All four Burgess brothers will play together for the first time this weekend and South Sydney coach Michael Maguire is adamant his monster-sized NRL side isn’t becoming too big.
With Sam, 24, returning from suspension, it will be the first opportunity the English-born quartet of siblings have had to play in the same side.
Sam and Luke, 26, will both start against Wests Tigers at Allianz Stadium on Friday, with twins, Tom and George both 21, coming off the bench.
“To see them all work extremely hard, it’s (playing together) obviously something as a group they’ve been really keen to achieve,” Maguire said on Wednesday.
“And it’s through merit, they thoroughly deserve their positions. Everyone is looking forward to a game like this with four brothers.”
All four brothers weigh over 110 kilos and Maguire could not remember fielding such a large collection of forwards.
The Rabbitohs also have considerable size in the backs, with fullback Greg Inglis and five-eighth John Sutton both listed at 105kg.
Asked if a side could ever get too big, Maguire said: “I guess you look at the side and the way you play.
“We adapt our game around the people we have in the team.
“We are just utilising our big men and Sutto (Sutton) and (half-back) Adam (Reynolds) and little Luke Keary coming in now, they are playing off the back of that and it’s giving opportunities for our edges.”
While wins in their last two games will secure Souths the minor premiership, Maguire said he was only thinking about the Tigers’ fixture.
