Wests Tigers vs Canberra Raiders 2013 NRL Round 15 preview and tips

Saturday’s game sees the West Tigers up against Canberra Raiders.

It is a relative quick turn-around for the Tigers who are coming off a 32-12 loss to Brisbane on Monday night at Suncorp Stadium.

It was their first loss in three weeks but a heavy one and defensively, there were some worrying signs, especially given that this week the face a side capable of scoring plenty of points.

It hasn’t been an ideal week for the Canberra Raiders though given their star Centre Blake Ferguson had a run in with the law earlier this week and his future at the club, now under threat.

They’ll also miss having strong forward Josh Papalii on hand for this match as he has been called up to the QLD Origin side.

These roster changes aside, the Raiders have scored two strong wins in as many weeks, defeating Brisbane and Penrith both on their home-ground. Take the Raiders away from their home ground though and they’ve only been able to post one win from six matches.

West Tigers hold a commanding 8-1 record over the Raiders in recent years but the Raiders will never have a better chance to break the trend and, correct their poor away form with a win here.
