Queensland’s Jarrod Wallace is free to make his debut in Wednesday week’s State of Origin clash with NSW after beating a shoulder charge count at the NRL judiciary.
Wallace was charged for Saturday’s hit on the Warriors’ Blake Ayshford in Gold Coast’s 34-12 loss, and was facing a two-match ban for the contact.
But he successfully argued during a 30-minute hearing on Tuesday night that Ayshford had initiated the contact and he had no chance to avoid the collision.
