Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Sam Burgess’ poor disciplinary records have come back to haunt them with the rival forwards set to be banned from the first week of the finals.

Sydney Roosters prop Waerea-Hargreaves was charged with a grade-one high tackle for his shot on South Sydney’s Liam Knight in Friday night’s loss.

Burgess was also hit with a contrary conduct offence after pulling the hair of Billy Smith, with both players only facing one-game bans due to weighting and carry-over points.
