Tolman inks three-year extension with Dogs

Prop Aiden Tolman looks set to end his NRL career at Canterbury after re-signing for another three seasons.

The 28-year-old reportedly knocked back offers from Newcastle, Parramatta and Souths to stay at the Bulldogs until the end of 2020.

The former NSW Country forward said it wasn’t a difficult decision to make.

“At the end of the day I’m grateful to be playing this sport and to be part of this great club,” he said in a statement.

“I love playing here and always wanted to stay, so I’m happy that we have reached an agreement.

“I really enjoy the set-up here and I’m pleased that everything has been sorted out.

“I’m now looking forward to the season and helping the Bulldogs achieve success on the field.”

The 195-game veteran is a member of the Bulldogs’ leadership group.

He played 25 matches in 2016 for the Bulldogs who scraped into the finals at seventh.

Tolman joined the club in 2011 after three years at Melbourne.
