Titans welcome Hayne’s Origin ambition

Jarryd Hayne’s State of Origin ambitions can only help Gold Coast as they battle to get their NRL season back on track, says coach Neil Henry.

“He (Hayne) has been out in the public saying he has a desire to play representative footy, he knows to do that he has to be playing well at club level,” Henry said on Tuesday.

“It’s a win for us if his goals are playing Origin again because he’ll be playing at his best for us”.

Hayne made a man-of-the-match return from injury as the 15th-placed Titans (2-6) beat defending champions Cronulla last weekend and they are seeking their first back-to-back success this year when they take on Newcastle on Saturday.
