Titans star accused of second pub incident

The NRL career of former Gold Coast skipper Greg Bird is hanging by a thread after he was allegedly involved in yet another pub incident.

Bird is being investigated by the NRL intergrity unit after being kicked out of a northern NSW hotel last Saturday, despite the star back-rower’s protests he did nothing wrong.

However, News Corp Australia reports the former NSW and Australian representative was asked to leave a Byron Bay Hotel last Friday, less than 24 hours before the first alleged incident.

“Greg Bird was here on Friday night. He was asked to leave,” a spokesman for The Sticky Wicket Bar told News Corp.

“The NRL integrity unit came in to see us and they are onto it.

“He was here on Friday night then had the Brunswick incident the next night.

“It was just Greg who was asked to leave. He never got served a drink because he was too intoxicated so the group weren’t here for very long.”
