Brett Stewart remains a chance to play in Manly’s NRL season opener against Canterbury despite battling a hamstring complaint, according to Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett.
Stewart suffered the injury in Manly’s trial against Ipswich three weeks ago.
Barrett will likely leave a decision on Stewart’s fitness until the morning of Friday’s round one encounter at Brookvale Oval.
