TAB punters are expecting New South Wales to win big again in State of Origin Two, with 58 percent of the Margin bets on the Blues winning by 13+ at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.
Somewhat surprisingly however, the second biggest hold in the Margin market is for Queensland to win by 1-12 at 15 percent.
There has also been a shift in the Player Of The Match market with Nathan Cleary ($4.50) now best backed with 24 percent of the market over Tom Trbojevic ($6.50) with 18 percent, while money has started to flow for Payne Haas at $34. Despite Haas being named on the Blues bench he now has 13 percent of the outlay.
In other State of Origin news from TAB:
- Damien Cook has surged in popularity in the First Try Scorer market, with 19 percent of the money. That’s behind Trbojevic with 22 percent but in front of Latrell Mitchell with 13 percent and Cameron Munster with 12 percent.
- The Maroons have tightened from $4.50 Head-to-Head back to $4.30 but they are due to start at the longest odds in TAB’s history. The previous TAB record was Game Three 2019 in which Queensland started at $3.80 and NSW $1.28. The Blues are currently $1.22 – a record short price for Origin.
- TAB has taken a $64,000 bet on NSW +2.5 at $1.10 and $50,000 on NSW +8.5 at $1.11
