Consistency hasnt been St George Illawarras strong suit under Shane Flanagan, but some gutsy wins have kept the Dragons in the frame for a finals return.

The Dragons Origin trio of Hunt, Jaydn SuA and Zac Lomax have been named in the reserves alongside an unchanged 17.
The Tigers come off the bye on an eight-match losing streak.
They finally managed to score more than 17 points for the first time since Round 3 in their last outing, but it coincided with their poorest defensive display of the season in a 42-28 away loss to the Cowboys.
Justin Olam returns from suspension and lines up in the centres with Charlie Staines, who moves in from the wing. Alex Lobb returns on the wing and Brent Naden is back on the bench.
David Klemmer (suspension) and Isaiah Papalii (injury) are out, which sees Alex Twal and Alex Seyfarth start.
The Dragons have won four of the last five merger derbies, including a scrappy 24-12 result at Campbelltown in Round 6 with Lomax dominant, the Tigers have won two of their last four at WIN Stadium.
St George Illawarra produced two of its best wins of 2024 in its two Wollongong matches to date against Manly and the Warriors which puts them in a handy position to pull off back-to-back wins for just the second time this year.
The Tigers engine-room setbacks do not bode well for an upset, while last weeks effort proved the Dragons can get the job done without their marquee men.
