St George Illawarra Dragons vs Canberra Raiders 2013 NRL Round 20 preview and tips

St. George produced two tries in the last ten minutes of their match last Monday night against South Sydney, to force the game into Golden Point.

The Dragons then capped the remarkable comeback by scoring three minutes into extra time and recorded a miraculous 22 – 18 win.

The only downside has been the season ending injury suffered by centre, Matt Cooper.

It was the Dragons’ first win in four matches and only their second in their last seven but, a win in such a manner will generate a good feeling at the Club this week, one they’ll need as on the relatively quick back-up, they face their nemesis, Canberra.

The Raiders must know something about the Dragons given that they’ve won nine of the past ten clashes between the two sides, the last eight in succession!

The Raiders are coming off two wins but they’ve been at their home ground Canberra Stadium, where they remain undefeated this year.

Playing away from home however has been a nightmare for the Raiders who have only been able to secure one victory from nine games this season.

Despite the Raider’s dominance over St. George, the beaten margin has never been excessive. Six points or less as separated them in two of the past three matches.

St. George, on a bit of high from Monday, get the chance to address their Canberra demons and deliver their supporters a rare win at Win this year here.

TIP: St. George 1 – 12
