Tom Burgess has been taken off the field with a suspected leg complaint in South Sydney’s NRL trial against the Titans on the Gold Coast.
Burgess was helped off the field on Saturday night after being injured in a tackle in the 58th minute.
It marred the return of his brother Sam Burgess in his first NRL match since the 2014 grand final after an ill-fated English rugby stint.
Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds was ruled out of the match as he recovers from a foot injury suffered in the All Stars match.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast’s halfback jinx has struck again.
Daniel Mortimer has replaced injured No.7 Ash Taylor (shoulder) in the Titans’ starting line-up.
Taylor had earned No.1 halfback status at the Titans after Kane Elgey (knee) broke down in the pre-season.
