Souths’ Paul Carter in Thai rehab: report

Troubled South Sydney NRL forward Paul Carter has reportedly checked himself into the same Thai rehabilitation facility Mitchell Pearce used earlier this year to try to get his life and career back on track.

According to Fairfax Media, Carter on Friday flew to The Cabin – one of Asia’s top rehabilitation centres – to deal with drinking and gambling issues.

The 24-year-old’s career is again in the balance after an alcohol-fuelled bender, leading to a no-show at training.

Pearce has credited his stint at the Thai facility as helping to bring balance to his life. The Sydney Roosters’ playmaker continues to do sessions at The Cabin’s Sydney branch.
