Souths lose Reynolds for a month

South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds could miss up to the first four rounds of the NRL season after being diagnosed with appendicitis.

The NSW State of Origin playmaker is almost certain to miss the Rabbitohs’ opening games against the Wests Tigers, Manly and Newcastle, and will race the clock to be fit for round four against the Sydney Roosters.

John Sutton would likely shift to the halves as cover, while bench hooker Damien Cook could be considered as another option.
