South Sydney and Parramatta meet on Saturday night in a clash between two sides eager to keep clear of the wooden spoon battle after hard-fought wins last round. The Rabbitohs ended a nine-game losing streak with a 20-18 triumph over the Titans, buoyed by the return of Latrell Mitchell, just a week after conceding 60 points to Brisbane.

The Eels, reinvigorated by Mitch Moses’ return and a lift from their young brigade, have claimed tight wins over the Broncos and Cowboys, with a brave loss to Melbourne in between. Shaquai Mitchell replaces the concussed Lachlan Hubner for Souths, while Parramatta are unchanged, with rookie fullback Isaiah Iongi a chance to return from injury.
