Canberra forward Sia Soliola has been referred straight to the NRL judiciary for his tackle which left Billy Slater unconscious.
Soliola is facing a hefty suspension for the late high shot, which NRL referees boss Tony Archer says should have seen him sent off.
The incident happened in the second half of Melbourne’s win over Canberra at GIO Stadium on Saturday, with Slater forced off the ground on a medicab.
