Skipper Creagh re-signs with Dragons

St George Illawarra captain Ben Creagh will spend another year at the club he joined as a local junior after re-signing with the Dragons until the end of 2016.

Creagh has played 253 NRL games with the Dragons since he made his debut in 2003, ranking the 25-year-old second-rower third on the list of all-time first-grade appearances behind only Ben Hornby (273) and Norm Provan (256).

“The club has played an important role in my life for a long time now and I feel privileged hopefully being able to finish my rugby league career here as a one-club player,” Creagh said.

Creagh spent a month on the sidelines early this season with fractures in his lower back, but returned for the Dragons’ 31-6 trouncing of the Bulldogs in round six.
