CASES OF NRL INTERCHANGE BUNGLES
* Round 11, 2018 – Two Manly players re-enter the field almost two minutes early from the sin-bin after a possible time-keeping error in their 24-4 win over Melbourne. The Sea Eagles held out a Storm attacking raid after they went the length of the field in that time with the score at 10-4. An angry Melbourne reportedly contacted the NRL, who say they will investigate, over the matter.
* Round 4, 2016 – Gold Coast fined $5,000 for briefly having 14 player on the field in their win over Canberra. NRL said there were mitigating factors, when it appeared an NRL interchange official played a role in the bungle.
* Round 1, 2011 – South Sydney fined $15,000 for breach in loss to the Sydney Roosters. Rabbitohs players reportedly told interchange official they were a player short after two changes were made at same time. Instead 14 players stayed on the field for four tackles.
* Round 2, 2009 – Canterbury lost two points after Andrew Ryan came onto the field with three minutes to play while Michael Ennis was down injured. The Bulldogs went on to score a 28-26 win but the breach ultimately costs them the minor premiership.
* Round 17, 2008 – Manly are fined $5000 for having a 14th player on the field for a matter of seconds when the wrong player was interchanged off. He returned to the field while another left the ground behind the dead-ball line.
* Round 15, 2007 – North Queensland fined $25,000 after after a 28-24 win over Canberra for having 14 players on the field for 20 seconds. The Cowboys said their player had been incorrectly handed the interchange card by an official.
* Round 3, 2004 – Brisbane fined $75,000 when Corey Parker entered the field too early after a Shane Webcke concussion in a 32-24 win over Wests Tigers. The Broncos were originally stripped of two points after it emerged Parker had been told not to enter the field by a sideline official but had the points reinstated after an appeal.
* Round 4, 2000 – North Queensland stripped of two points after they fielded 14 players for three minutes during their 26-18 win over Parramatta. In that time, the Cowboys defended their line.
